Welcome to my blog!  I’ve been in the internet business for years, originally providing dial-up access in the mid-90’s.  Now my company, Comstar, builds websites and blogs, helps with search engine optimization, and performs other internet marketing tasks for our clients. 

Meanwhile, I am hosting the Web Genius Summit where  I interview those who have mastered some area of online and/or business expertise.  The audience is made of business owners and entrepreneurs who want to get more out of their online business efforts. 

With my wife I run Chocolate University Online.  We offer chocolate classes to those who want (or need) to learn more about chocolate.  It’s great fun for chocolate lovers and great information to build credibility for those pursuing a chocolate-related business.

I am also involved in refugee resettlement.  Imagine if the 10 million refugees in the world, currently displaced from their homes, could return to their homeland, or a welcoming country, and begin contributing to their society!  Most want to go home.  Some are willing to start over in a new country.  We help one family at a time start new lives in the U.S. and get them to self-sufficiency usually within 6 months.  They contribute positively in our society and the world is a slightly better place!

One day I did a search on Google for my own name, Jeffrey Kirk, and what was on the first page of the search results?  A bunch of other Jeffrey Kirks.  Well, that just won’t do.  Since I consider search engine optimization to be among my skills, I have set out to rank high with my own name.  As of my last check I had two links (1 to this blog) and a photo on the first page results.  Progress…
